Herbalism & Nutritional Consultation

A Practical & Human Approach

Food is deeply personal. It’s cultural, emotional, economic, seasonal, social, and physiological all at once. Herbs are powerful allies, but they are most useful when woven into everyday life in sustainable ways.

For some people, nutritional counseling has become associated with restriction, guilt, or endless rules. That is not my approach. I’m less interested in forcing people into strict protocols and more interested in helping them understand what creates resilience in their own system.

I help people reconnect with simple, foundational practices that actually make a difference over time.

That may include:

  • understanding how stress affects digestion and energy

  • learning how to eat in a way that feels stabilizing rather than confusing

  • learning how to cook and prepare food and herbs

  • incorporating herbs and mineral-rich foods for nervous system support

  • improving recovery and hydration

  • recognizing patterns connected to sleep, tension, fatigue, inflammation, or mood

  • creating rhythms that support long-term health rather than constant burnout

Often the goal is not dramatic transformation overnight, but steadier energy, clearer awareness, and a body that feels more adaptable and supported.

Consultations are conversational, observational, and personalized.

They can be done in-person or online.

We’ll explore your current concerns, health history, daily rhythms, stress patterns, digestion, sleep, energy, and overall goals. From there, we work together to identify practical forms of support that feel realistic and meaningful for your life.

Recommendations may include nutritional guidance, herbal support, lifestyle shifts, educational resources, or simple practices to experiment with between sessions.

Over time, the work becomes less about following instructions and more about developing awareness, capacity, and trust in your own experience.

Influences & Foundations

My approach is informed first and foremost by a deep love of the Earth and all its inhabitants. Beyond that, by various herbal traditions, anatomy and physiology, whole-food nutrition, Chinese medicine studies, clinical observation and a lifetime of hands-on and direct experience growing, gathering, cooking and eating these foods and herbal allies.

I’m especially interested in the ways structure, stress, digestion, environment, and daily habits influence one another — and how small changes, practiced consistently, can reshape a person’s overall sense of wellbeing over time.

Common Questions (FAQ)

Do I need to know anything about herbs beforehand?

Not at all. Recommendations are tailored to your level of experience and comfort.

Will I receive a strict meal plan?

Usually no. The focus is on practical guidance and sustainable shifts rather than rigid protocols.

Can this work alongside bodywork or other care?

Yes. Herbal and nutritional support often integrates well with bodywork, movement practices, and other forms of healthcare.

Are herbs included?

You can decide how you’d like to source herbs. In most cases, recommendations or custom formulations will be available. Many recommendations are common in kitchens, readily available in grocery stores, easily found online, and may even be growing right outside your door.

Building Health Through Relationship & Attention

Health is rarely built through one perfect supplement, one ideal diet, or one dramatic intervention. Often it comes through improving the conditions that allow the body to recover, adapt, and function more coherently over time.

Herbalism and nutritional counseling can be part of that process — not as rigid systems to follow, but as foundational tools for creating more support, resilience, and connection in everyday life.

This work is about helping people reconnect with those foundations in a way that feels grounded, accessible, and sustainable.

Important Note

Herbalism and nutritional counseling are supportive and educational in nature and are not a replacement for medical diagnosis or treatment. Recommendations are offered within the scope of practice and may work alongside other healthcare support when appropriate.
