My work is rooted in a lifelong interest in how people heal, adapt, and develop healthier relationships with themselves and the world around them.

Looking back now, the path here makes more sense: from as early as I can remember, I struggled with severe skin issues. I tried all sorts of medicines and remedies, from steroid creams to emu oil and everything in between. Chinese medicine eventually had a profound impact at an early age and helped set the stage for ultimately overcoming those challenges; but nearly every night during that time, I would ask one of my parents, "can you rub my back?" It helped more than anything . Touch - human connection - is how I best learned to regulate, to rest, to heal.

I also grew up on a small organic farm where quality food and other natural approaches to health were part of everyday life. From an early age, I knew that health is influenced by far more than what happens in a doctor's office. As a teenager and young adult, I suffered from more debilitating injuries and illness that limited me from many activities I'd done for years and forced me to rethink what was really important.

I spent countless hours learning about the body and delved deeper into herbal medicine and ecology, Chinese medicine and different traditional healing systems. As I sought relief for myself, I found that I was fascinated not only by the remedies and practices, but by the larger relationships between health, culture, landscape, food, and daily life. Those experiences sparked a curiosity that has guided much of my life and work since.

That curiosity eventually led me back to the land where I grew up, back to the basics. I began to focus predominately on professional bodywork, where I discovered a powerful way to help people directly. Alongside my hands-on clinical work, I have continued learning deeply about herbalism and food through apprenticeships, formal coursework, and years of personal study and practice. Working with clients has only deepened my appreciation for the complexity of the human body, for the intelligence of Nature, and reinforced the importance of understanding the broader context of a person's experience.

Ultimately, my own experiences with chronic pain, neurological challenges, acute injury, food sensitivities, digestive issues, and recovery have dramatically shaped my perspective. Like many of the people I work with, I've spent years experimenting, observing, and learning what it means to make meaningful changes in everyday life, while learning to live a meaningful life.

Today, my approach brings together skillful bodywork, herbalism, nutrition, movement, somatic inquiry and a strong foundation in observation. Whether someone is seeking relief from pain, support for recovery, guidance around food and lifestyle, or a deeper understanding of their body and experience, I aim to provide practical, individualized care that respects the complexity of each person's situation.

Outside the clinic, you'll usually find me in the mountains or working with my hands in other ways: gathering plants, gardening, making pottery, playing music, and continuing to learn about the connections between people, health, and the natural world.
